Guide on Cleaning Our Lenses

2025-08-29

At JGZOE, we understand that proper handling and cleaning are essential to the performance and longevity of optical components, which are critical to your projects. Contaminants such as dust, moisture, and processing residues can increase light scattering and absorption, and may even cause optical defects. Therefore, optical components should always be stored in appropriate packaging and only opened in a clean environment.

When handling, please wear specialized protective gloves to avoid fingerprints or oils that could damage the optical surface. For small optical devices, tweezers or component holders may be used, but they must be handled with care to prevent scratches on the optical surface.

When dirt or contaminants appear on the surface of a lens or optical element, the following cleaning methods are recommended:

Light dust: Use clean compressed air to blow away surface dust.

Residual dust: Gently wipe with a dedicated optical cleaning cloth; if necessary, apply a small amount of acetone to enhance the cleaning effect and prevent streaks.

Severe contamination: Clean with a solution of distilled water and optical detergent, then rinse thoroughly with distilled water and alcohol.

Please note that disassembling the lens yourself will void the warranty. All disassembly operations should only be performed by JGZOE or authorized professionals.

At JGZOE, we not only provide high-precision optical products but are also committed to delivering long-term and reliable performance assurance. Visit our website at www.jgzoe.com to learn more about our professional optical solutions.
